April Meeting

Beagle "has" landed ...

Society members were treated to a very informative and enjoyable presentation by John Thatcher, who had spent many hours working on the bicycle wheel sized Mars probe.  John retold many aspects of the mission story revealing a passion for the subject and littered with inside snippets.  Welcome to Shropshire John!

With clear skies on offer the number, and variety of scopes, available was very encouraging.  Long term stalwart's gave tours of the night sky, which included Jupiter.  Other members encouraged shy newcomers to dust off their scopes and get observing.  A most enjoyable evening was had by all.  Don't forget your camera as the deadline for the photographic competition will soon be with us!
