Objectives

The society is a fairly relaxed and informal affair. While we are keen to promote astronomy and raise public awareness of it, members are encouraged to pursue their interest in astronomy in which ever way they most enjoy. Consequently, the membership encompasses a diverse range of interests and expertise including; people observing visually, taking photographs (with and without telescopes), using CCDs or just simply reading about this weeks HST results or watching the Sky at Night television programme.

If you are interested in the astronomy, we are interested in meeting you. In Shropshire we are lucky to have (fairly) dark skies and its always nice to meet other people who also appreciate its beauty.
